We’re delighted to announce that the Power to Ukraine fund has successfully delivered generators to Ukraine.
British Equestrians for Ukraine began their campaign to provide life-changing generators for equine vets working in the region where power cuts are common, making daily care for displaced and injured horses difficult, and emergency care almost impossible.
Over £10,000 was raised thanks to generous donations from fellow vets and the public and last week a batch of generators were successfully delivered to equine vets in the Ukraine.
BEVA Council Member Alison Talbot, who led the initiative, said:
“The delivery of the generators to Ukraine is the end result of the combined efforts of many people. With special thanks to Vets with Horsepower, and to Lorraine Staniek for her amazing organisation of the practical side of the delivery. The generators will make a real difference to humans and horses in these cold winter months. Anatoly Levinsky of the Ukrainian veterinary society passes on his heartfelt thanks for the support shown to Ukraine by BEVA members."
