BEVA stalwart, and Head of Cambridge Veterinary School, Professor James Wood has received an OBE in this year’s Birthday Honours list.
Recognised for his services to veterinary science, James has also brought a wealth of knowledge to BEVA since he first joined the association 23 years ago, most notably through his positions on the Board of Management and as Chair of BEVA Journals. Away from the Association, James has played key roles within the RCVS, as a Council Member, and Defra, as a member of its Scientific Advisory Panel and TB Eradication Advisory Committee.
BEVA President Lucy Grieve shared her congratulations saying “We are incredibly proud of James’ achievements. This recognition of his huge contributions to the profession over the years is truly deserved. On behalf of everyone at BEVA I would like to offer him my whole-hearted congratulations”.
