Everyone at BEVA is incredibly grateful for the continuing donations made to the Power to Ukraine fund. In particular we’d like to say a special thank you to Liphook Equine Hospital who have recently made an incredibly generous donation of £1,650 to the fund.
The conflict in Ukraine strikes a chord for all at BEVA and World Horse Welfare due to our long-standing relationship with the Ukrainian Veterinary Society, and with the war raging for 12 months we were determined to provide practical help to our colleagues and equestrians on the ground. The British Equestrians for Ukraine group have sourced generators in Germany that we can safely transport to where they are needed in Ukraine. The Power to Ukraine fund aims to collect donations to purchase these generators which will be life-change and life-saving for the country’s vulnerable horses. So far, the money pot holds nearly £6,500, but with a target of £20,000 we are asking anyone who is able to please donate any amount they can.
Whilst we have all experienced muddy fields, no lights and no power it’s hard to imagine battling these conditions whilst trying to dodge shelling and communicate without any means to charge your digital equipment. By donating today you will give the gift of Power to Ukraine. Thank you.
