CPD and Careers News BEVA News COVID-19
11 Mar 2020 BEVA

BEVA's current CPD program and BEVA Congress 2020 will continue as usual until further notice.

The health and safety of our members, attendees, and participants is our priority and the following guidelines are in place to attend to the current situation. These guidelines may change in response to the Government's and the World Health Organization's (WHO) advice. We are continuing to develop plans for dealing with several contingencies that may arise in this rapidly changing situation.

CPD and Congress Attendees

  • If you have any symptoms (even mild) of dry cough, fever, malaise or feel unwell do not attend the event
  • Adopt caution when greeting your peers, and if possible do not touch each other and maintain a distance apart of at least 1 metre
  • Maintain good respiratory hygiene e.g. coughing/sneezing into a tissue and putting the tissue in a close bin and then washing your hands
  • As the virus can be spread by contamination of the environment, door handles, desks, etc ensure you wash your hands thoroughly and regularly. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. Washing facilities are available at all events
  • If you develop symptoms after the event, please inform the BEVA office and seek appropriate health advice.

BEVA will be sending out updates and reminders regarding this situation in the run up to the scheduled events.

BEVA are closely monitoring the situation through official channels and will provide updates as they become available. We will communicate relevant updates with registered attendees, speakers, exhibitors, volunteers, suppliers and staff as appropriate.

Please adhere to the protection measures given by the World Health Organization (WHO) if you are travelling from, or have recently visited, areas where COVID-19 is spreading.
