A Round Up from BEVA HQ

News BEVA News
17 Dec 2021 BEVA

With 2022 just around the corner, we reflect on what has been a busy, at times tricky, but ultimately more positive year. We want to extend a huge thank you to our wonderful membership for sticking with us and being part of a successful year.

Our First Hybrid BEVA Congress -

A Success!

The dust has well and truly settled, and we have recovered from what was a very successful, if fairly manic, Congress this year. We were thrilled to host not just a physical event in Birmingham, but a brand new virtual concept within the space of just a few months - safe to say we at BEVA HQ were rather exhausted afterwards!

We hope that everyone who joined us in-person and online enjoyed Congress as much as we did. The plans for 2022 are coming along nicely so watch this space for more information coming soon...

BEVA Hit 60

This November we celebrated BEVA’s 60th Birthday. All we have achieved over the past six decades has been largely down to our wonderful profession. That’s why to mark the occasion we highlighted 60 of the most influential and inspiring names in equine veterinary practice. Nominated by our members, we received hundreds of recommendations giving us quite a job to whittle down to a final 60. You can find the full list on pages 36-37.

Looking towards 2022...

2022 CPD Courses

We were delighted to welcome delegates back to attended courses in the second half of this year, we hope that everyone that attended enjoyed being back too! We have since been incredibly busy putting together our programme for next year, with a line up of fantastic, varied courses and plenty more in the pipeline. There is something for everyone.

From anaesthesia to reproduction, our hugely popular Fundamentals series is expanding with more dates than ever before, find out more about the programme on pages 18-19.

Following the success of our online courses we will be continuing to host virtual sessions, welcoming anyone from anywhere to join us for our top quality CPD. Browse the full list of courses on pages 20-21 and keep an eye out on our website for more events being announced soon.

And of course, Merry Christmas!

And finally, it’s that time of the year again. Crack open the Christmas chocolate, dive into the mince pies and listen to those cheesy Christmas tunes to get yourself through to the end of the year. We wish all our members a joyful festive period, and encourage you all to take time out to rest, recoup and re-energise for the New Year. See you in 2022!
