Due to continued expansion of Newmarket Equine Hospital, we are seeking to recruit a student equine veterinary nurse to join our enthusiastic and highly motivated hospital team. Based within our world class facility, this position provides the opportunity to train for the RCVS equine nursing qualification, with rotations taking place through the following areas: theatre, intensive care, in-patient care, diagnostic investigation, standing surgery, dispensary and pharmacy.
Applicants must be:
• A minimum of 18 years of age
• Have obtained 5 GCSE’s at grade C/4 or above, including English, Maths and Science
• Experienced in handling and working around a variety of horses
As part of the terms of employment you will be enrolled onto a further education program and will receive support and tuition throughout your period of training.
With exposure to a large and varied caseload, the role will suit a highly motivated team player who wishes to work and learn to the highest of standards within veterinary care.
Some weekend work will be required and you will be expected to participate in the out of hour’s on-call rota.
Due to our location, a full UK Drivers Licence is required.
