21 Mar 2025 BEVA

Tullyraine Equine Clinic is looking for an equine vet to join our friendly team in Northern Ireland.

We are NI’s largest and proudly independent and well equipped equine clinic, with 5 full time equine vets. We have super enthusiastic vets supported by a fantastic and experienced support team.

We aim to provide our clients with excellent and sound equine veterinary expertise, and we believe we have the best of all worlds concerning equine medicine:

• First opinion and referral cases, ambulatory and in our purpose-built clinic. These include PPEs, sports medicine, internal medicine, dentistry and much more.

• In-house surgical facilities with elective surgeries performed by us, as well as by visiting specialists for more specialist surgeries.

• Stud facilities to accommodate our fertility clients.

• Racecourse work, IHB stallion and mare panels, sales panels, and providing cover for local sporting events.

• We are proud to provide our own OOH service, which is equally shared between all vets.

Outside of work, we encourage our employees to enjoy all that NI has to offer, especially the beautiful outdoors which gives plenty of options for hiking/running/biking and general relaxing.

Our ideal candidate has the following strengths:

• A confident team player who has a broad skills base and has relevant equine veterinary experience and horse sense.

• We will consider less experienced colleagues as well, but they should at least have either completed an equine internship or have worked in mixed practice with a sufficient equine case load for at least 2 years.

• A colleague who appreciates the importance of high standard veterinary work and client communication.

• Someone who strives for self-improvement and learning and who can see the value of case discussions with their colleagues.

What we can offer the successful candidate:

• Full time position

• Competitive salary, tailored to experience

• OOH rota equally shared between 5 vets

• 4 weeks holiday leave plus bank holidays

• 1 day off in lieu of weekend worked

• ½ day per week dedicated to admin

• MRCVS/VDS/BEVA/IEVA memberships

• CPD actively encouraged and paid for

• Car supplied for work or work mileage paid options

• Development of individual work interests encouraged and supported
