Partner with Us

We are always keen to develop new partnerships with equine welfare organisations globally.

We can support organisations that have identified opportunities to improve equine welfare by providing access to expert, veterinarian support. Our volunteers can provide various support from clinical treatment to educational programmes.

We will provide veterinary expertise by recruiting and arranging for veterinary professionals to support the project.

We will be responsible for recruiting the volunteers and we will cover their expenses to travel to the destination where the project is taking place including basic subsistence and accommodation costs.

The veterinary professionals taking part are volunteers and dedicate their time free of charge. All BEVA Trust volunteers are members of BEVA.

We can partner with organisations where their project meets the following criteria:

The project meets an existing need for veterinary support to a welfare organisation and will deliver meaningful, positive impact to horse welfare, either directly or indirectly
The project appeals sufficiently to generate interest from veterinary volunteers
The volunteers travelling to the project will be safe
The project has the potential to create positive public relations for all stakeholders
The project will deliver a good rate of return on the financial, administrative and volunteer support inputted. The project should also be low cost to run and deliver.

The BEVA Trust, in partnership with Worldwide Veterinary Service, is pleased to announce they are now recruiting for vet volunteers for virtual teaching roles that will support vets working with horses in Ethiopia. Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the BEVA Trust has had to pause existing volunteering programmes and cancel many of the planned activities for 2020. My fondest memory of volunteering with the BEVA Trust - Helen Braid

I have too many fond memories of volunteering in Lesotho at the Semonkong Hospital Project - I was unable to select a single memory! The scenery of Lesotho is unmatched and our visit to Maletsunyane falls was incredible. The whole country is over 1,400 metres above sea level and the Semonkong Hospital Project location was over 2,275 metres above sea level. I certainly won't ever be castrating 30+ horses at this altitude in the UK (Snowdon is 1085m, Ben Nevis 1344, Scafell Pike 978m)! My memorie

I have volunteered for 3 BEVA Trust and BHS clinics now, and each has been an enjoyable experience; the first one I attended was just after I graduated and I really benefited from the surgical experience in an environment where I was not afraid to get stuck in, and each time I go I get more experience and am now confident teaching others. My fondest memory from volunteering with the BEVA Trust - Sara Fleck

With COVID-19 putting BEVA Trust projects on hold we asked former volunteers to share their fondest memory with us. It is hard to pick my fondest memory of volunteering at the Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust as so many come to mind! However, one patient I will always remember was a little donkey that presented to one of the village clinics we attended. He had an incredibly painful eye that was completely closed, crusted shut and covered in flies, as well as a large abscess over his dorsal spine.

The adventure continues: arriving in the Gambia and getting started

From the "sublime to the ridiculous" doesn't even start to portray the contrast.Having disembarked, the heat whilst standing on the tarmac was impressive. The airport was basic but was undergoing renovation but in the light of the corona virus outbreak every passengers’ temperature was taken and alcohol hand wash offered.
