Roly Owers, BEVA's Health and Medicines Committee Chair provides us with an update with what they are working on following their second committee meeting for 2020.
During the update Roly gives us an insight into the work they are doing to better track antimicrobial usage in equine practice as well as anthelmintic resistance.
He also highlighted how the committee discussed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant economic fallout, as well as practical support around remote prescribing.
Finally, they also discussed the Animal Health Trust and the important role the Animal Health Trust plays, in particularly around equine disease surveillance work and research.
