Our brand-new BEVA Nursing Committee met face to face for the first time at BEVA Congress 2022. Chaired by Marie Rippingale the meeting saw Committee members Louise Pailor, Cassie Woods, Lynsey McKay, Mary Simcok, Jude Smith, Rosina Lillywhite and Rebecca Bruford discussed the way forward for the Committee.
The very successful meeting resulted in the following:
• Using discussions with members and responses to their survey asking for key points to focus on, the Committee have put together ideas for the coming year – these will be shared soon.
• Agreed to form a collaborative relationship with the BVNA to support equine nurses.
• As part of the above, they plan to be part of a live discussion on the BVNA platform on 21 September at 19:30 (BST), as well as run a hub and live workshop sessions at BVNA Congress on 7 October 2022.
