RCVS publishes its framework for meeting the challenges and maximising opportunities of Brexit

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) has published its three ‘Brexit Principles’ which constitute a framework for navigating the risks posed to the veterinary industry by the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union, while maximising the opportunities it offers.

Fire and Rescue Pioneer Receives NEF Award

Jim Green, pioneer of equine emergency rescue methodology and training was announced as the winner of the Sir Colin Spedding Award at the National Equine Forum (NEF).

The Thoroughbred Health Network launches at the National Equine Forum

The ‘Thoroughbred Health Network’ has been run as a Northern pilot project since June 2015.  On the 2nd March it launched as a UK-wide initiative at the 25th National Equine Forum in London, widening its focus from racing, to the equestrian sector.

Annual renewal reminder for veterinary surgeons

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) is reminding veterinary surgeons that annual renewals must be completed by 1 April 2017. Those who pay their fees after 30 April 2017 will be charged an extra £35 to renew their registration while those who have not paid by 31 May 2017 will be removed from the Register.
