About this course
BAEDT Theory is designed for individuals wishing to qualify as an equine dental technician. The course will help you prepare for the BEVA/BVDA exam and provide you with the necessary knowledge to develop your career as an EDT. Please note that in order to sit the exam you must have attended this course.
Originally a two-day attended course, the programme has been updated, splitting it into two modules to make it more accessible. As a result, this course offers two ticket types. BEVA vet members are able to book the live day exclusively, whilst all non-members will be required to complete the online learning and attend the live day. Two weeks prior to the course date you will be given access to a full day’s worth of pre-learning materials covering the theory required to excel in the exam including lectures on anatomy, physiology and common diseases.
The live day forms the second module, where you will join us online for a day of lectures and discussions to explore dental procedures and techniques. Our speakers will also share their top tips for passing the exam, reasons for common failures and invite you to ask questions.
Please note for those wishing to sit the BEVA/BVDA exam, this course's live element is mandatory. To satisfy the exam requirements, you must be present throughout the day and attendance at the live meeting is monitored.
The on-demand lectures and recordings of the live sessions will be available to you for 12 months from the date of the live event.
BEVA Vet Members can attend the live discussion only
If you are a BEVA member and registered vet looking to refresh your knowledge in equine dentistry, then you can book to attend the live discussion only. You can book this here.
If you are an Equine Dental Technician or if you are not a BEVA Vet Member, you will need to book the full package which includes recorded online sessions as well as the live day to ensure that you cover everything that you need to know.
