About the webinar

Equine Recurrent Uveitis is a painful condition, recognised as an immune-mediated disease traditionally treated by topical immunosuppressants and systemic anti-inflammatories.

Genetics appear to be factor with links to coat colour and breed. Leptospirosis can be a factor in the USA and Europe, but appears much less common in the UK.

Gentamicin was initially used in irrigation solution for pars plana vitrectomy, but has since been used in low doses on its own. Ocular implants are not a new concept with cyclosporin implants being used for ERU.

Come and discuss whether gentamicin implants are the way forward with Thomas Launois and Kathryn Wotman - both leaders in research into the treatment ERU.

This event is available exclusively for AAEP and BEVA members, free of charge. AAEP members should contact the AAEP for registration details.

We hope to see you online soon.
