About this course

Fundamentals of Gastroenterology combines online learning and a practical day to ensure you are confident in examining, forming, and carrying out a plan for a horse with colic, choke, liver disease, weight loss or diarrhoea.

Before attending the practical day, you will have access to five online lectures. Your lectures will cover colic, choke, hepatopathies, and outbreak management.

Your online lectures will allow for your practical day to be just that, extremely practical. During the day you will practice and perfect techniques commonly utilised in the diagnosis and management of GI cases. This will include practical rotations on abdominal ultrasound, interpreting lab results for colic, colitis and liver disease, clinical assessments of colic as well as case based discussions on topics including worming.

The online learning will be available to access at least two weeks before the practical and available for up to 12 months afterwards.
