Redwings - Oxhill, Banbury Road, CV35 0RP
It’s no secret that equine obesity is a large and ongoing problem, but lets ensure that as veterinary professionals we are part of the solution. Join us for this one day course to develop your knowledge of equine obesity and gain hands-on experience that you can use to help make a difference to the obesity levels in your clients horses.
During the day we will develop your knowledge of obesity and the risks it presents. As part of the course we will discuss the role nurses have in equine obesity cases and look at how you can make a success of nurse-led obesity clinics and owner support networks. The course will give you the opportunity to hear from nurses that are already successfully running nurse-led obesity clinics and understand from them how they have made it work financially, the pitfalls they faced and the successes they have had. There will also be the opportunity to get hands-on to develop your confidence in body condition scoring and creating diet plans.
Please bring clean steel-toe capped boots and a hard hat.
