An established veterinary practice on the Channel Islands requires a vet to join their lovely team!
The mix of work is variable depending on bookings however, 50% small and 50% equine seems to be the percentage currently and can be flexible according to an individual's interests.
The practice allows freedom for vets to develop their special interests, as well as support from certificate holders in Small Animal Surgery and Equine Dentistry.
We work on a four day vet Rota and, if working a full weekend on-call, we provide two days off before the weekend and after the weekend! We do employ night vets for part of the rota and our aim is to become a 24/7 hospital.

This is a progressive practice, employing several certificate holders. The practice provides their clients with superior quality care utilising excellent facilities. These include the latest CT scanner and hydrotherapy facilities and all the usual diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including laser treatment. The practice aims to provide a good life/work balance so that everyone can enjoy life in this wonderful location. The equine side is developing with access to stocks, a yard for work ups, DR x-ray, ultrasound, gastroscopy, endoscopy and dental equipment including MTE kit.
The practice is located on one of the beautiful Channel Islands; the islands are sprinkled across the narrow channel of sea that divides France and the UK. All of the islands offer gorgeous, dramatic coastlines and are rich in history. There is a surprising range of birds and subtropical flora to discover. There is also an abundance of fresh seafood and glimpses of traditional British lifestyle that some say have faded from the mainland. The islands are easy to access via plane or ferry, with good connections from England and France.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a stunning location!
