We’re looking for a great equine vet to join our team as an Ambulatory Veterinary Surgeons. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of experienced veterinary professionals, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to provide exceptional care for your patients. Our ambulatory vets are supported by a large team of specialists, residents, and interns at our hospital, whilst having a wide range of equine clientele from leading show jumpers to child’s first pony. All classes of horse are cared for. Our greatest asset at Pool House Equine Hospital along with our facilities is our staff.

About us
Pool House Equine Hospital is part of the IVC Evidensia Equine Group and is an accredited tier 3 hospital, located in Fradley near Lichfield only a short drive from the Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District National Park. With easy access to the motorway network, two main line railway stations and Birmingham International Airport, Lichfield is almost literally the centre of England.: First opinion and referral practice.
The Equine Hospital is composed of two GA operating theatres and two standing theatres, large preparation area including 3 x DR digital X ray processing, two examination / radiography rooms and four sets of stocks. There is stabling for up to 34 horses. Other equipment includes mobile X - Ray machines, multiple ultrasound machines, laser surgery, arthroscope, laparoscope, shock wave machines, 3m digital gastroscope and two 1.4m fibreoptic endoscopes and MRI. We have an in-house laboratory covering an extensive range of tests, along with excellent RVN support.
The equine veterinary team consists of a number of professionals with advanced certificates and diplomat status, Equine Surgery, Dentistry and sports horse and rehabilitation, along with a dedicated team of receptionists, yard and administrative staff to support you with your day to day duties.
