Equine Vet - Tom Walters Equine Vets - Cheshire

Vet
26 Nov 2024 BEVA

UPDATED - Position now available for PART TIME or FULL TIME applicant(s)

Equine ambulatory practice based in Cheshire.

We are looking for a new team member to replace (a poor choice of word but factually accurate) our colleague of nearly 10 years.

You’ll be working alongside two other experienced equine vets and practicing independently, predominantly within the Cheshire and Staffordshire areas. You will be equipped with the usual diverse range of client and equine on whom you will practice first opinion veterinary magic. To enable this, we will provide exclusive use of a vehicle with full mobile diagnostic equipment, laptop and mobile.

We’re flexible in terms of experience, however a minimum of 2 years in practice is preferred due to the independent nature of the job on the road.

A choice between a one in three or one in four OOH rota (depending on how much you want to earn) can be made.

We are a small, established team with a low turnover of staff. We work closely together despite being an ambulatory practice and you will be able to rely on comradery of the highest level. Your potential colleagues have a wealth of experience to draw upon both from specialist equine qualifications and years of experience.

The ideal candidate would have an interest in dentistry or a willingness to progress in this direction.

Whilst we are currently entirely ambulatory, we have also considered the possibility of pioneering a move towards taking on standing surgeries. Hopefully this will be of interest to the new team member.

We are proud to be independent and have no plans to change things on this score, meaning the right candidate will enjoy clinical freedom and whose contribution will be welcomed in terms of progressing the practice.
