New or recent graduate required from mid-March 2025 in principally racing thoroughbred practice in West Berkshire near Lambourn.
No weekends, night duties or bank holidays though some early mornings!
The position is initially for 18 months with the potential for longer for the right candidate. The successful applicant will be exposed to a large and interesting caseload and will learn many first opinion skills while working with the team, along with learning how to acquire and interpret high quality radiographic and ultrasound images, how to perform endoscopy, gastroscopy, overground endoscopy, lameness examinations, nerve blocks etc. They will be fully supported, mentored and shielded from direct responsibility while they learn and develop. The work is fairly seasonal with busy summers and quiet winters so there is the potential for a month's additional leave over the winter for travelling or working abroad. This position provides an ideal spring board for those looking at a career in equine practice while building confidence and competence. We are a small friendly team with the responsibility for several high profile clients and horses looking for someone enthusiastic, motivated and good humoured who can act as a good team player and slot in well with our existing group.
