Ambulatory Vet Position – Buckingham Equine Vets

Buckingham Equine Vets are looking for a new, enthusiastic, and team-focused vet to help drive our expanding equine practice.

We are a close-knit team of 6 vets working to support one another and share the responsibilities and stresses of the busy professional. The practice is independently owned and hosts a purpose-built equine clinic just outside Buckingham/Milton Keynes with excellent links to London and the rest of England.

This position would suit an experienced or new/recent graduate vet, looking to further their career. Duties involve a variety of equine first opinion cases with individual clinical interest tracts encouraged. Specialist and Advanced Practitioner support is always available.

Included:

  • Work vehicle (dogs welcome)
  • Work iphone and ipad
  • Individual clinic office desk space for collaboration and professional support
  • Equally shared 1 in 6 duty rota.

Benefits:

  • 4.5 day working week
  • 22.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Fridays off having worked a weekend
  • Increasing holiday allowance based on length of service
  • Professional membership: BEVA, RCVS and VDS
  • Gym membership
  • Healthy CPD allowance individually tailored
  • Certificate qualification encouraged and financially supported (two vets currently enrolled)
  • Discounted veterinary fees
  • Pension
  • Part of the XLVets community of independently run vet practices
  • Links to the Royal Veterinary College through our educational partnership
  • Central location - good transport links throughout the country

This is an excellent opportunity to learn from, be part of, and help grow our veterinary team, while utilising an array of modern diagnostic equipment for clinic and ambulatory use.

Interested candidates are welcome to call Andrew Wallace for an informal chat on 07946 634520, or email a covering letter and CV to andrew@buckinghamequinevets.com
