Description

We are currently looking for an equine surgeon to fill a positon in our well-established equine veterinary hospital in the UAE.

The candidate will join a surgical team compromised of two full time ACVS diplomats, to cover the surgical caseload, the after-hours emergency surgery rotation and will also perform lameness examinations.

Sharjah Equine Hospital is a 12-veterinarian full service, primary care, referral and emergency facility capable of providing a variety of services. We have an in-house laboratory, a fully staffed ICU and experienced surgical team, in a supportive atmosphere. We offer a strong team-work culture with visiting students, interns, residents and veterinary assistants. Our facility has 2 treatments rooms, two surgical suites with two assisted recovery areas. We have 11 ICU stalls, 40 hospital stalls, and 4 isolation stalls.

Our Hospital sees approximately 350-400 surgeries per year, with a very diverse caseload of orthopedic, respiratory, gastro-intestinal and urogenital cases that are seen in a wide population of horses, including racing/endurance Arabs, Thoroughbreds, and Warmbloods.
